Bio
Having been a self taught painter from a young age, Geralyn Inokuchi earned an Associates Degree in Art History and a BA in Philosophy. After raising a family she went into business co-owning a yarn shop for several years where she taught weaving, spinning and knitting.
Geralyn’s artwork ranges from expressionistic non-objective abstracts to impressionistic landscapes. All of her works are inspired by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Geralyn paints with mixed media acrylic and also oil and cold wax.
When viewing Geralyn’s work, one is met with an atmospheric world with great depth and movement. In her recent body of work, Geralyn has addressed the peaceful beauty of the Pacific Northwest through impressionistic landscapes where she explores texture, contrast, rhythm and movement. Her vibrant paintings express her inner landscape inviting the viewer in to enjoy Geralyn’s unique perspective.
